Loose On the Town Wins Sunday’s Featured Cherry Valley Farm Purse

LEXINGTON, KY (April 23, 2017) – Susan and Jim Hill’s Loose On the Town took the lead out of the gate and cruised to a 2 3/4-length victory over Canadian Flyer in the $74,000 Cherry Valley Farm Purse for 4-year-olds and up before a Sunday afternoon crowd of 14,776.
Trained by Brian Lynch and ridden by Javier Castellano, Loose On the Town covered the 5½ furlongs on a yielding turf course in 1:03.24.

KENTUCKY DERBY CANDIDATE GIRVIN JOGS IN ADVANCE OF WORK LATER THIS WEEK

With trainer Joe Sharp riding alongside on a lead pony, Brad Grady’s Girvin, winner of the Risen Star (G2) and Louisiana Derby (G2) and the top point earner on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1), jogged twice around the main track Monday morning before the renovation break.

PLETCHER SEEKS TO BUILD ON KEENELAND STAKES RECORD
Todd Pletcher has taken the lead among trainers with stakes victories at Keeneland with 51. This weekend, he looks to open some daylight on any and all pursuers as he takes aim at Friday’s Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare (G3) at 1 1/16 miles on the main track and Saturday’s Dixiana Elkhorn (G2) at 1½ miles on the turf.

Bull Riders take center stage at National Western on Monday

DENVER (January 17, 2017) — Jake Brown’s 2016 season got a big boost when he won the bareback riding title at the National Western Stock Show Rodeo.
He’s back in Denver this year and working towards a similar result. Brown rode here on Monday afternoon scoring 74 points. He had his second horse on Tuesday night where he wowed the crowd with an 85.5 point effort.
