Historic ASPCA Maclay National Championship Returns to Alltech National Horse Show

Lexington, Ky. – August 25, 2012 – The second edition of the Alltech National Horse Show in Lexington, KY, is set for October 30 through November 4, 2012. The show will once again be held at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.

TURBULENT DESCENT HAS SMOOTH RIDE IN BALLERINA

SARATOGA SPRINGS , N.Y. – Odds-on favorite Turbulent Descent earned her fourth career Grade 1 victory in the first start for her new connections, taking over at the top of the stretch and going on to a 1 ¼-length win over Derwin’s Star in Friday’s $500,000 Ballerina at Saratoga Race Course.

Zionsville, IN- August 14, 2012- The 2012-Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show and Country Fair at beautiful Wild Air Farms in Zionsville, IN celebrated its 35th anniversary as one of the top hunter/jumper shows in the U.S.  The popular, festive show is located on a spectacular backdrop nestled amid Indiana hills and woods. Perfect weather drew in a large audience from the Indianapolis area for the final exciting day of show jumping on Sunday.

SANTA ANITA AUTUMN MEET TO FEATURE 28 STAKES RACES WORTH OVER $4 MILLION…

ARCADIA , Calif. (Aug. 14, 2012)—Santa Anita Park has announced a 28-event stakes schedule worth over $4 million in purses for its 24-day Autumn Meet which begins Sept. 28.  The meet offers one of the world’s most lucrative stakes programs which will be keynoted by six Grade I  “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup prep stakes, five of which will be run on Saturday, Sept. 29, with the remaining Grade I event to be run Saturday, Oct. 6.

Guerdat takes individual Olympic gold for Switzerland

Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat claimed individual jumping gold at the London 2012 Olympic venue at Greenwich Park today when he was the only rider in the final competition to maintain a completely clean sheet in the two rounds. And in a thrilling two-way third-round jump off, The Netherlands’ Gerco Schroder pipped Ireland’s Cian O’Connor for silver.
