Lady Aurelia and Other Royal Ascot Hopefuls Work at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, KY (May 25, 2018) – Trainer Wesley Ward gave the thumbs-up signal to indicate his approval of today’s works at Keeneland by his horses – led by Stonestreet Stables and Peter Leidel’s European champion Lady Aurelia – after they worked on the turf course in preparation for the prestigious Royal Ascot meet in England in June.

Just outside the Cowboy Hall of Fame, he is interred along an ambling oath that takes visitors past some magnificent bronzes of cowboys as well as monuments to a select few of their best-remembers animals: Baldy (“A Great Cow Pony”), Steamboat (a horse, “Symbol of the Spirit of Wyoming”), Hell’s Angels (“Great Bucking Horse”), and Midnight (a horse: “Please, God, Rest His Soul”).
