LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 28, 2015) – Fans have the opportunity to see Keeneland outfitted in Breeders’ Cup purple on Prelude to the Cup, Thursday, Oct. 29, a special day of racing on the eve of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, to be held Oct. 30-31.
Keeneland has carded nine races for Prelude Day, with the afternoon highlighted by the $100,000 Lafayette Presented by Keeneland Select for 3-year-olds and older at seven furlongs on the main track.

Carpe Diem Romps to Victory in $1 Million Toyota Blue Grass


LEXINGTON, KY (April 4, 2015) – WinStar Farm and Stonestreet Stables’ Carpe Diem took command in upper stretch and cruised to a three-length victory over Danzig Moon in the 91st running of the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G1) before a crowd of 26,357 on Saturday.

Carpe Diem became the third horse to complete a sweep of the Breeders’ Futurity as a 2-year-old and the following spring’s Blue Grass, joining Round Table (1956-1957) and Dullahan

Peace and War Lukewarm 3-1 Favorite vs. Six Foes in $500,000 Central Bank Ashland

LEXINGTON, KY (March 31, 2015) – Qatar Racing’s Peace and War was made a lukewarm 3-1 morning-line favorite in a well-matched field of seven entered Tuesday for the 78th running of the $500,000 Central Bank Ashland (G1) for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles over the main track Saturday.

The race offers 170 points toward qualification to the 141st running of the $1 million Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) with 100 points going to the winner, a total that would ensure a spot in the Churchill Downs starting gate in a field limited to the top 14 point earners.
