The 2015 LONGINES FEI World CupTM Jumping Final Goes to Guerdat

Switzerland, France, Ireland and United States Top Four

Las Vegas, Nevada – April 19, 2015 – Three days of intense competition and four demanding rounds, two of them today, in a tight indoor arena with enthusiastic crowds – these are the elements that make for superb sport. After forty-nine rounds over Anthony D’Ambrosio’s courses in the FEI World CupTM Jumping Final III, only six were without fault. Riding a mare that he’s competed on for less than a year, Swiss rider Steve Guerdat earned the LONGINES FEI World CupTM Jumping Final title of Champion.

United States Places Three in Top Ten at Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final

Las Vegas, N.V. – The 2015 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final concluded this afternoon with United States jumping elevating its status on the world stage, placing five athletes in the top 20, including three in the top 10. Twenty-nine starters came into the Thomas & Mack Center Arena in Las Vegas, N.V. for Round I with 20 moving forward to Round II, taking on two challenging tracks set by course designer Anthony D’Ambrosio. On a day when clear rounds were at a premium, the U.S. contingent proved its mettle.

Great Britain’s Dujardin shines, and Peters springs a nice American surprise

Defending champions, Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, lived up to expectations when winning the Grand Prix on the opening day of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2014/2015 Final at the Thomas & Mack Centre in Las Vegas, USA today. The reigning Olympic, World and European title-holders produced a brilliant test to finish over six marks ahead of The Netherlands’ Edward Gal and Glock’s Undercover, but the big hero of the day was America’s Steffen Peters who lined up third with Legolas just over two marks further adrift.

Irish wonderboy, Bertram Allen, wins first round of Longines Final with Molly Malone

Ireland’s Bertram Allen and the brilliant grey mare, Molly Malone, won the opening Speed competition of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping 2015 Final at the Thomas & Mack arena in Las Vegas, USA tonight. With a performance that mirrored his surprise success on the opening day of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Normandy, France last September where he eventually placed individually seventh, the German-based 19-year-old simply left the rest trailing in his wake when going 32nd in the field of 40 starters.

Orchard Hill to Face Valiente in US Open Polo Championship Final Coca-Cola and Audi Defeated in Semifinals

Wellington, FL – April 15, 2015 – Orchard Hill and Valiente secured spots in the 111th U.S. Open Polo Championship Final, winning their respective games Wednesday in the semifinals at the International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC).  

Orchard Hill defeated Coca-Cola 12-8. In exciting overtime play, Valiente took Audi 11-10 in overtime on Engel & Völkers field.

A pair of Piereses pounced onto the field with the eye of the tiger, and even the power punch of Pelon Stirling and Julio Arellano couldn’t take them down. If a Pieres didn’t score the goal, he had a hand in it. The cousins controlled the game with cat-like cunning, scoring 10 of Orchard Hills’ 12 goals.

Dressage Schooling Session Draws Large Applause at 2015 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Final

Las Vegas, Nevada – April 15, 2015 – The world’s best horses and riders set to compete at the 2015 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Final took advantage of the schooling session held in the main arena on Wednesday afternoon, which gave them the opportunity to acclimate their horses to the atmosphere and practice in the dressage arena. The Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Final is being held concurrently with the LONGINES FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, April 15-19. The FEI World Cup™ Finals has returned to the United States for the first time since 2009.
