Zionsville, IN – June 22, 2012 – Set along the countryside of Zionsville, IN, just north of Indianapolis, the Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show is sprawled along a 250-acre facility-the ideal spot for the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. BKD Wealth Advisors, LLC (BKDWA), an investment advisory firm, has stepped up to sponsor the popular derby event.

Humphrey’s thirteen-year-old daughter Jordan competed at the TPHCHS last year, and she is one of the driving forces behind his philanthropic inspiration to sponsor the show. He has seen the benefits of her years of riding, competition and her advancement to the next steps of the sport. He understands the bond between horse and human-a unique phenomenon he wants to be able to share.
“I think that the bond that exists between horse and rider is really what make this show so special,” Humphreys stated. “My background is what really pushed me to support this show. Horses can improve children’s lives. People assume it is only about the money, but the interaction between children and horses is amazing. I sat on the Board of Morning Dove, and what I have seen between autistic children, veterans and disabled persons and the bond they have on a horse is so apparent and inspirational. I think you can see this bond at the horse show, too.”
The $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, presented by BKDWA, will take center stage on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 2 p.m. The derby event will see the top hunter competitors vie for the prestigious honors, as well as compete for the 2013 USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals qualifying points.
The Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show and Country Fair is held on the beautiful 250-acre grounds of Wild Air Farms in Zionsville, IN, the show offers top prize money with two Grand Prix events and a USHJA International Hunter Derby.
