$175,000 Ridge at Wellington Invitational Grand Prix Series Concludes With Marie Hecart and Lalique Sealing Finale Victory

Wellington, FL – March 23, 2013 – The morning fog cleared from the grass field at Deeridge Farm, welcoming Level 2 Jumpers to the $24,750 Ridge at Wellington Invitational Grand Prix Finale. After 10 weeks of heated competition, the $175,00 series came to a conclusion today, seeing 54 entrants tackle the 1.40m course. It was Marie Hecart who wore a target on her back throughout the competition, securing the win with a double-clear effort in a mere 37.206 seconds with Lalique.

Grandma’s Place Fundraiser Exceeds Great Expectations

Wellington, FL – March 25, 2013 – The sun setting over the International Polo Club, appeasing live music, sought after auction items and good company set the perfect stage for “An Evening of Great Expectations” Friday night. The fundraising event garnered tremendous support for Grandma’s Place, an emergency foster shelter for children, and the mission and outreach program of St. David’s in the Pines Episcopal Church.

IHS Champions Cup CDI-W Wrap-Up: Lars Petersen and Mariett Triumph in Both Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle

Loxahatchee, FL- March 25, 2013- Lars Petersen and Mariett put in top-notch performances at the March 21-24 International Horse Sport (IHS) Champions Cup to continue their winning streak. They delivered a one-two punch to pick up wins in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle, repeating their results from the Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI-W two weeks prior. Both events were held at the IHS Champions Park at Equestrian Estates.

SANTA ANITA JOCKEYS READY FOR “RACE WITHIN A RACE” ON SANTA ANITA DERBY DAY, APRIL 6–With the 19th annual Santa Anita Derby 5 Walk & Run set for Derby Day (Saturday, April 6, 2013) at The Great Race Place in Arcadia, CA, Santa Anita jockeys Jose Beitia, Victor Espinoza, David Flores, Alex Bisono, Alberto Delgado, Agapito Delgadillo, Mario Gutierrez, Modesto Linares, Orando Mojica and Edwin Maldonado, demonstrate their readiness Saturday (March 23, 2013) to help benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).  No matter where they place overall, the first-place jockey will have $300.00 donated in his name to the PDJF, the second-place jock will have $150.00 donated and the third-place jockey will have $50.00 donated in his name.
