Brewster, NY – April 18, 2013 – Phelps Media Group, Inc. International is pleased to welcome Pegasus Therapeutic Riding to its client roster, leading up to the 32nd Annual Pegasus Horse Show held Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18, 2013.

With chapters in Pleasantville, N.Y.; Greenwich, Conn.; Darien, Conn.; and at the 20-acre Pegasus Farm in Brewster, N.Y., Pegasus Therapeutic Riding is able to provide equine-assisted activities and therapies to more than 225 individuals each year. The non-profit organization’s Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) certified physical therapists, occupational therapists and instructors assist people with special needs, military veterans and at-risk individuals through a therapeutic riding program; Horses & Me, an equine learning program; and their customized Pegasus Patriots and Wings programs.

“Our mission is to provide opportunities for people with needs to discover their inner champion,” notes Pegasus Executive Director Todd Gibbs. “Through fun but challenging therapeutic activities, our supportive team of staff, volunteers and horses work toward one very important goal: helping our students achieve the best quality of life possible.”

For 32 years, Pegasus Therapeutic Riding has hosted their Annual Pegasus Horse Show, offering the perfect opportunity for students to celebrate and showcase their accomplishments in front of family and friends. For the past three decades the show has been generously hosted at Coker Farm by the Richter family, but this year for the first time, Pegasus is thrilled to hold the event at their own permanent facility at Pegasus Farm.

“It’s an exciting time for Pegasus, so it’s an exciting time for us as well. We’re looking forward to getting involved and doing what we can to benefit the great organization,” Mason Phelps Jr., President of Phelps Media Group said.

The show on Friday, May 17, will include an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. and several riding classes. The event will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, with additional classes and several family-friendly activities. This year’s event will blend the horse show traditions Pegasus students have come to know and love with the wonderful new beginnings that Pegasus Farm provides.

The Annual Pegasus Horse Show is made possible thanks largely to the generosity of the community and supporters. All sponsorship income directly supports essential programs for Pegasus students throughout the year.
