McLain Ward and Rothchild Repeat Victory in $210,000 CP Grand Prix

Calgary, AB, Canada – June 14, 2015 – For the second year in a row, USA’s McLain Ward and Rothchild emerged victorious in the $210,000 CP Grand Prix during the ‘Continental’ Tournament at Spruce Meadows. It all came down to the wire in the tournament’s final event on Sunday, as Ward and Rothchild went last in an 11-horse jump-off to win by nine one-hundredths of a second. Todd Minikus (USA) and Babalou 41 finished second, and Richard Spooner (USA) and Chivas Z placed third.

McLain Ward Kicks Off Devon with Open Jumper Domination


The country’s top show jumpers have arrived at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, and in a fitting fashion eight-time Grand Prix of Devon winner McLain Ward claimed the first two Open Jumper victories. In the first Open Jumper class, he piloted the 15-year-old Hanoverian mare HH Ashley to the fastest double clear effort during the five-horse jump-off for owners Double H Farm of Wellington, Florida. He followed it up with a victory in the $10,000 Open Jumper Speed class aboard HH Best Buy, also owned by Double H Farm.

Wellington, FL – March 11, 2015 – The Ridge at Wellington’s Turf Tour returned to International Polo Club (IPC) Palm Beach to kick off the tenth week of competition.  While the morning saw some unexpected showers, the afternoon brightened up and competitors flocked to the expansive polo fields to try their hand against some of Wellington’s most competitive jumpers.  It was a gorgeous setting for the horses and riders to enjoy beautiful courses designed by Eric Hasbrouck in the main ring and Nick Granat in the second ring, with polo games taking place just a few fields away.

The Ridge at Wellington Turf Tour Returns to the International Polo Club Palm Beach for Week 6

Wellington, FL – February 9, 2015 -The Ridge at Wellington’s Turf Tour is travelling back to the International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC) for its sixth week of competition. This week’s events will take place on Wednesday, February 11 and Friday, February 13. In addition to the ever-popular 1.30-1.35m classes, Wednesday will offer low and medium schooling jumpers. Friday will see the Grand Prix running all day in the main ring, and low and medium schooling jumpers running in the second ring.

The Ridge at Wellington Turf Tour Continues This Week at the International Polo Club

THE RIDGE AT WELLINGTON HORSE SHOW SERIES FAST FACTS

Events:

The Ridge at Wellington Turf Tour offers their popular 1.40m Invitational Grand Prix for its third year, with an open in gate format taking place once a week at beautiful venues throughout Wellington. The Ridge at Wellington Grand Prix Finale will take place March 27, 2015.

The Turf Tour also will host 1.30
m-1.35m Jumpers every Wednesday beginning January 7, 2015 and running until March 18, 2015.

Young Jumper Classes and both Children’s/Senior Jumper Classics will find their home intermittently throughout the Wellington Turf Tour, running concurrently with the 1.30-1.35m and 1.40m Jumpers.

The Ridge at Wellington offers Equitation Shows every Tuesday of the month from January 6 – March 23, 2015. There will also be a series of schooling shows at the Ridge at Wellington for all experience levels.

Two USHJA International Hunter Derbies will take place February 6, 2015 and March 20, 2015.
