Triple Crown hopeful American Pharoah is ‘all systems go’ for G1 Belmont Stakes

ELMONT, N.Y. – All systems go.

That was the pronouncement by Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert after he watched Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner American Pharoah gallop on the main track Thursday morning in preparation for Saturday’s Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the elusive Triple Crown to be contested as part of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival presented by DraftKings.

Triple Crown Hopeful American Pharoah Gets Acquainted with Belmont Main Track

ELMONT, N.Y. – Triple Crown hopeful American Pharoah went out onto a sloppy Belmont Park main track for the first time this morning to stretch his legs and become acclimated with his new surroundings as he prepares for Saturday’s Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes as part of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival presented by DraftKings, and perhaps a date with destiny.

American Pharoah, Keen Ice Depart Churchill Downs For New York

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Tuesday, June 2, 2015) -Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner American Pharoah walked the shed row of Barn 33 Tuesday morning before departing Churchill Downs at 10 a.m. (all times Eastern) for a van ride to Louisville International Airport for his flight to New York in anticipation of Saturday’s $1.5 million Belmont Stakes (GI).

NYRA Reminds Fans to Purchase Belmont Stakes Day Tickets in Advance

ELMONT, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association (NYRA) today reminded fans to purchase their Belmont Stakes Day tickets in advance, in order to guarantee their place for Saturday’s Triple Crown bid by Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner American Pharoah.  No tickets will be sold at Belmont Park on Saturday, June 6.

BALTIMORE – Seven weeks after delivering a career-best performance to win his first graded stakes, WinStar Farm’s Commissioner can make it two in a row in Friday’s $300,000 Sagamore Racing Pimlico Special (G3).

            The 45th running of the 1 3/16-mile Special is one of seven stakes, four of them graded, on a spectacular 14-race Black-Eyed Susan Day program at Pimlico Race Course that also includes the Ultimate Girls Day Out, a celebration of the spirit and strength of women.
