FRANKLIN, Tenn.— (May 31, 2016) — The 2016 Tractor Supply Company Music Country Grand Prix, Middle Tennessee’s premier equestrian show jumping competition, will take place on Saturday, June 4, at Brownland Farm in Franklin.

“The Music Country Grand Prix has top caliber riders and horses competing for the $40,000 victory purse in stadium jumping, the type of competition seen at the Olympics,” said Sarah Ingram, Co-Chair of the 2016 event with Jennifer Pennington. “With jumps in the five-foot range, the competition will keep you on the edge of your seat, and we’ve raised the bar again for the event to be the best ever.”

Since 2005, the Music Country Grand Prix has raised more than $1,000,000 for Saddle Up!, the oldest and largest equine-based program in Middle Tennessee changing the lives of children and youth with disabilities through the power of the horse.

In addition to the breathtaking competition, the Music Country Grand Prix includes a Patrons’ Tent with dinner and bar, a specially created “People Prix” in which children (and kids at heart) can test their jumping abilities over custom made people jumps, and a silent auction with varied and unique items.

This is the 11th year that Tractor Supply Company has been the presenting sponsor for the event.

“The Music Country Grand Prix offers the best of both worlds – a fun event that brings the thrills of high caliber stadium jumping to those who attend and a great fundraiser that helps Saddle Up! be the place ‘Where all children are equal in the saddle,’ said Executive Director Cheryl Scutt.
