It’s Victory Again for VanderVeen in the $15,000 Open Welcome Stake at Summer in the Rockies III

Parker, CO- June 20, 2013 – The $15,000 Open Welcome Stake was the highlight of the day in the Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena at Colorado Horse Park’s Summer in the Rockies III. Kristen VanderVeen used Bull Run’s Le Conte’s huge stride to her advantage and eventually earned the victory gallop.

SBS Farms Lights Up Country Heir Horse Shows With Top Placings

Lexington, KY – June 17, 2013 – With the Kentucky Summer Series right around the corner, SBS Farms, Inc. is taking no time away from the ring as they prepare for a competitive summer circuit. Professional rider and trainer Jennifer Alfano shined during the Country Heir Horse Shows. The Kentucky Horse Park was alive with hunter action during the two weeks of shows, but it was Alfano who stole the attention, taking the Pre-Green 3′ Hunter Championship with her own mount, Candid during WCHR week.

Parker, CO – June 18, 2013 – Top-notch horses and riders gathered at the Colorado Horse Park for Summer in the Rockies II, a week of hunter/jumper competition set against the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Riders enjoyed sunny skies and warm weather throughout the week, and spectators lined the grass bleachers and VIP area of the Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena for Saturday’s Summer in the Rockies II $30,000 Grand Prix, presented by Littleton Equine Medical Center and Platinum Performance.

IHSA Announces Western Riders for AQHA Horsemanship Challenge

Ashley Keeler and Simply Said Cruise to Victory in $1,000 Open Hunter Classic at Colorado Horse Park

Parker, CO – June 13, 2013 – Ashley Keeler and Simply Said were unbeatable in the hunter ring on the second day of the Colorado Horse Park’s Summer in the Rockies II, laying down consistently impressive rounds en route to wins in the $1,000 Open Hunter Classic and both Performance Working Hunter 3’6″ O/F classes. Meanwhile, Calido’s Son and Amanda Hauser were similarly hard to catch in the Performance Working Hunter 3’3″ division, where they collected three blue ribbons to wrap up the divisional championship.

(June 13, 2013)—Ramon Dominguez, a three-time Eclipse Award-winning jockey  who announced earlier today that has been forced to retire at age 36 due to the severity of head injuries sustained in a spill at Aqueduct on Jan. 18, will forever be regarded by fans, horsemen and management at Santa Anita as not only one of the greatest jockeys of all-time, but as one of the classiest as well.
