Nordic Light Farm Wraps Up Successful Circuit at Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL – April 4, 2013 – Nordic Lights Farm and Eirin Bruheim wrapped up the last two weeks of the Winter Equestrian Festival with style. Bruheim has continued to shine throughout the circuit, working with new horses and representing her home country of Norway. The final weeks of the circuit were just as successful, as Bruheim went double clear at The Ridge at Wellington Grand Prix Finale with NLF Billy on Show.

Competing on the grass field at Deeridge Farms during WEF 11, Bruheim and NLF Billy on Show, competed against over 45 competitors, completing two clear rounds. The pair then went on to show in two High Amateur-Owner jumper classes during the final week of WEF, where they were able to add more ribbons to their ever-growing collection.

“The last two weeks were great to say the least,” smiled Bruheim. “NLF Billy On Show was great at The Ridge Grand Prix Finale. It was our first grand prix together and it was super to have a chance to compete on the grass. The High Amateur-Owner classes also went well, he was just getting a bit tired as season winds down.”

During week 11, Bruheim also competed with NLF Newsflash in the Medium Amateur-Owners jumper classes. The pair continued to work on their partnership and Bruheim is looking forward to showing the talented mount this summer.

Lastly, NLF Transatlantic performed during both WEF 11 and 12, competing in the Low Amateur-Owners Jumpers. The pair was right on target during the final week, jumping to a sixth place finish. Now Bruheim is looking ahead to Europe for the summer.

“My other horse Anyway is just coming back and she feels great,” noted Bruheim. “She is ready to head off with Billy and Flash to England next week. “We will train a few weeks before heading to Antwerp and Lummen to show.”

Nordic Lights Farm had a successful season at the Winter Equestrian Festival with all of their horses. Now they are looking forward to continued success throughout the summer in Europe with Lauren Hough, while Peter Pletcher and NLF Shakespeare continue to compete in the hunter derby events in the United States.

Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 20-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 18-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
