Top Call Farm and Greg Crolick Dominate Professional Hunters at HITS Ocala

Ocala, FL – March 6, 2013- The 2013 show season has been very successful for the horses and riders at Top Call Farm, resulting in multiple championship and reserve championship wins at HITS Ocala and the Winter Equestrian Festival. Based out of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Top Call Farm is a full service hunter/jumper facility that travels south each winter with Greg and Jessica Crolick to showcasing their winning mounts at the country’s top equestrian events.

Greg Crolick kicked off the 2013 season in style at the Winter Equestrian Festival with Clover Lane Farm LLC’s Imagine. The pair topped the Second Year Green Working Hunter division to claim the third week’s championship prize. They then traveled to HITS Ocala where Greg and Imagine added three more tricolors to their collection. Greg and Imagine’s most recent championship came during the seventh week of HITS Ocala, where they topped all three over fences classes.

“Imagine is a beautiful horse to ride,” noted Greg. “He kind of goes like a big pony even though he’s 17.2 hands. He’s very easy to get to the ring and really likes to go in and perform.”

Greg’s winning ways continued during the seventh week in the Conformation Hunters aboard Seth Vallhonrat’s Lemasolia, who earned four second place ribbons, as well as a third place ribbon under saddle for the reserve championship. During the previous week of competition, the pair also claimed the reserve tricolor for their efforts.

“Lemasolia is a new ride for me,” commented Crolick. “She was given to me by a friend to get some experience in the show ring and she’s turned out to be a quite a special horse. She’s a very green horse, but she has been reserve champion the last two weeks. She’s another new talented one that flies under the radar, but performs wonderfully in the ring.”

In the $5,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix during HITS Ocala VII, Greg showed Grey Street to the second place award for owner Adrienne Marciano. The previous week, Greg and Grey Street topped the First Year Green Working Hunters to take home the Reserve Championship. They also won the Green/High Performance Hunter Handy during week two of the show.

Clover Lane Farm’s Beyond Belief has also found success in the show ring, capturing the Performance Working 3’3″/3’6″ Hunter Reserve Championship during the second week of competition. Greg also showed Seth Vallhonrat’s Cancun in the division, earning top placings.

The fifth week of the HITS Ocala was dominated by Angelina Smith’s Illusionist, who Greg swept the over fences classes with in the Regular Conformation Hunters. Their beautiful rounds were rewarded with the division’s championship title.

Throughout the seven weeks of competition, Greg has also successfully competed with Carson, owned by Orchard Lake Farms, LLC in the High Performance Working Hunters. The pair earned four third place ribbons during the second week of the show, and then went on to claim a second place ribbon during week four, and a second place ribbon in the handy during week six. Most recently, during week seven, the duo once again named the second place ribbon in the handy as well as three third place ribbons.

Greg concluded, “The season has gone really well for us so far. I have some really nice professional hunters right now. The kids have also been doing quite well with a couple of championships and reserve championships from the Novice divisions to the 3’3″/3’6″ divisions. All of my horses love to be down here in Florida. We’re having a great time.”
