\nHunter Herrin topped the tie-down roping event with winnings of $6,700. He said consistency will be his strategy in advancing toward the grand prize.
\n\u201cReally we just have to focus on doing the same thing every night,\u201d Herrin said. \u201cMy horse was great tonight, like he is every night, and he will really be the difference maker as we go into these final rounds.\u201d

\nRiding with one of his heroes, Junior Nogueira was thrilled to partner with Jake Barnes and win the BP Super Series V Championship. Nogueria said he is still in awe to be roping with his idol.
\n\u201cI watched every DVD of [RodeoHouston] back in Brazil,\u201d Nogueira said. \u201cHe [Barnes] was one of the greats that I deeply admired while watching those DVDs, and it\u2019s still such an honor he chose me to be his partner.\u201d

\nSaddle Bronc Riding Champion Dustin Flundra said he rides for his wife and family every night. Flundra said earning the $50,000 would give him more opportunities to go out and win more to help provide for his support system.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife runs the flag here for the National Anthem,\u201d Flundra said. \u201cSeeing her run really inspires me, and also knowing our kids are here, it really pumps me up and keeps me going.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\u201cIt\u2019s all a family ordeal,\u201d Lockhart said. \u201cMy husband is back home in Montana exercising my other horse for me, and my daughters run my social media stuff and they also do rodeo. We\u2019re all in this together.\u201d

\u201cBull riding changed my life,\u201d Silcox said. \u201cIt was something that gave me motivation to be better.\u201d<\/p>\n

The top four from each event in the Semifinal rounds will advance to the RodeoHouston BP Super Series Championship, Saturday, March 21. The remaining six from each event in the two semifinals will compete in the Wild Card Round, Friday, March 20, where the top two from each event will advance to the Championship. Each event champion will walk away with a $50,000 payout, in addition to previous winnings. The RodeoHouston BP Super Series continues through March 21, with the RodeoHouston Super Shootout: North America\u2019s Champions\u00ae presented by Crown Royal, on Sunday, March 22.<\/p>\n
