FRANKLIN, TENN.\u00a0\u00a0(April 23, 2013)\u00a0\u00a0\u2013 Get ready Middle Tennessee! For the 64th<\/sup>\u00a0year, the Franklin Rodeo stampedes into town complete with cowboys and cowgirls, bulls and horses and all the pageantry and tradition of rodeo and the old west!!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

May 16-18 the Williamson County AgExpo Center is transformed into a rodeo arena and hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls with horses, boots, chaps and spurs come to town to compete for prize money and the chance at a gold buckle!<\/p>\n

The rodeo is a fundraiser for the Franklin Noon Rotary Club and is a long-time tradition for Williamson County. In the past six decades the rodeo has raised over $2 million for the Rotary Club. That money has gone to fund high school scholarships and local charities in the county.<\/p>\n

Fans fill the air-conditioned building to enjoy three nights of rodeo and City Mayor Ken Moore loves to see them in town. The rodeo \u201cbrings a lot of people to Franklin to see our great city and it\u2019s an opportunity for one of our Rotary Clubs to raise money for the worthwhile projects they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

And for a night of entertainment, fans can enjoy the Rodeo Cafe which open at 6 pm. Parking is free and rodeo spectators will see not only competition but beautiful trick riding, rodeo clowns and daring bullfighters.<\/p>\n
