\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Trained by Bob Baffert, Sky Kingdom \u2019s most recent start came in the Grade II Robert B. Lewis Stakes on Feb. 4, a race in which the Kentucky-bred by Empire Maker finished 10 \u00bc lengths behind eventual Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner, I\u2019ll Have Another.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cTo run as huge as he did today, being away as long as he was, is fantastic,\u201d said Baffert assistant Jim Barnes.\u00a0 \u201cWe were wide turning for home, but he was really running.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy for (owner) Westrock (Stables) and Martin rode him really good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cWhen we went into the first turn, that is exactly where he wanted to be,\u201d said Garcia.\u00a0 \u201cI wanted to be clear and put him wherever he was going to be comfortable, and try to save ground.\u00a0 At the half mile I had to find a place because of traffic, so I decided to move him outside.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
