BELMONT, N.Y. \u2013 I\u2019ll Have Another<\/strong>, who on June 9 will attempt to become racing\u2019s 12th<\/sup> Triple Crown winner in the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes, had a second tour of Belmont Park\u2019s main track Thursday morning, jogging 1 \u00bd miles in company with a pony.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt looks like he gets over the track fantastic,\u201d said trainer Doug O\u2019Neill\u2019s assistant, Jack Sisterson. \u201cHe looked super, his energy level is high and he\u2019s doing everything we want to see him doing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s reaching over the ground well,\u201d he added. \u201cBack at Hollywood , he\u2019s got the exact same stride as he has here at Belmont . He had the same one at Churchill Downs and the same one at Pimlico.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll Have Another\u2019s schedule calls for him to resume galloping Friday morning as he prepares for the 1 \u00bd-mile Belmont and the chance to join the 11 equine legends who have swept the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont. In the 34 years since Affirmed won the Triple Crown in 1978, 11 horses have come into the Belmont Stakes with a chance to sweep the series only to come up short in the Belmont, most recently Big Brown in 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n
