(May 3, 2023) Franklin Rodeo  – It takes a village to raise a child, or so the saying goes.

And the same can be applied to a rodeo.

It takes a village to put on a rodeo, and in the case of the Franklin Rodeo, that rings true.

Dozens of sponsors, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of hours go into making the Franklin Rodeo happen each year.

Those sponsors, as presenting partners, are vital to the success of the Franklin Rodeo, which will be May 18-20 this year, at the Williamson Co. Ag Expo Park.

Partners are vital to the health of the Franklin Rodeo, said Devin Gilliam, chairman of the rodeo committee and a member of the Franklin Noon Rotary Club, which has produced the rodeo since 1948.

“We rely on the support of our many generous partners,” he said. “They help us as we raise money for the many charities and organizations the Noon Rotary Club makes donations to.”

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Franklin has been a presenting partner for the past sixteen years, and looks forward to it again this year, said Sheri Sprouse, RAM Rodeo Program manager. “RAM Rodeo and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Franklin are teaming up to bring you the latest RAM trucks for all rodeo fans to view, and while at the Franklin Rodeo, fans will have the opportunity to see the latest in 2023 RAM trucks.” She advises attendees to register at the rodeo to win a $100,000 certificate to purchase a new RAM truck while visiting the RAM display at the rodeo.

Williamson Health is another of the three presenting partners for the rodeo, and is committed to the future of Williamson County, said Michele Simpson, Williamson Health director of marketing and communications.

“Williamson Health is proud to be a regional healthcare system with deep roots in our community,” she said. “We are committed to investing in the future of Williamson County. This commitment is reflected not only in our own historic expansion and renovation to ensure exceptional healthcare for generations to come, but also by supporting other local organizations and events that contribute to our community in a variety of important ways. The Franklin Rodeo does just that, and is an incredibly fun event, to boot.”

The newest partner to return to the Franklin Rodeo is Event One FX, who helps with the pre-show, according to Christina Van Zuidam, director of operations.

“Event One FX is thrilled to return to the Franklin Rodeo for our second season!” she said. “As long-standing members of the Franklin community, we can’t wait to continue to add to the amazing tradition that is the Franklin Rodeo. We’ll be bringing back lasers this year, as well as some other surprises that we can’t wait to show off!”

The parade kicks off rodeo week on May 13 at 12 noon, through downtown Franklin. The Down in the Dirt Family Night, a free experience, is the pre-party for the rodeo, May 17 from 6-9 pm at the Williamson Co. Ag Expo Park.

The rodeo begins at 7 pm each night May 18-20.

Tickets are limited for the 72nd edition of the rodeo and can be purchased online at FranklinRodeo.com.
