TRYON, N.C., USA – Sept. 11, 2018 – Brooke USA is pleased to announce details about opening day media events at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 (WEG). Brooke USA’s sister charity, Brooke, is the official charity of the WEG, and is the world’s largest international working equine welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of horses, donkeys, mules and the people who depend on those animals in the developing world.
Join Brooke USA and Brooke for an exclusive preview for members of the media of a 360° video and immersive interactive experience in the World Equine Expo™, bringing to life the reality for people and their working equines in South Asia’s brick kilns. Petra Ingram, Brooke chief executive officer will be on hand to introduce the video.
Immediately following the video premiere, join Ingram and Brooke USA board members, Katherine Bellissimo and Jane Holderness-Roddam, and Brooke USA Executive Director Emily Dulin for the ribbon-cutting and unveiling of the “Brooke Breezeway.”
WEG attendees will have the opportunity to memorialize their experience with an engraved Brooke Brick, personalized with their name or the name of a beloved horse, person or pet, to be permanently installed in the “Brooke Breezeway” at Tryon International Equestrian Center. Proceeds from the sale of Brooke Bricks will pave the way to improve the lives of horses, donkeys and mules in India’s brick kilns. Brooke Bricks are made in the U.S. and no animals are involved in production.

About the FEI World Equestrian Games™
The FEI World Equestrian Games™, held every four years in the middle of the summer Olympic cycle, is the property of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), the world governing body for horse sport recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It is one of the biggest events on the global sporting calendar, combining World Championships in the Olympic disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Eventing, the Paralympic discipline of Para-Equestrian Dressage, as well as Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining.
